My aim is to help students develop confidence in maths and maybe even enjoy it! To help students learn how to access their true potential, whatever that may be.
From a UK secondary school maths teaching background, beginning my career with an outstanding QTS. I have gained experience teaching higher and foundation GCSE as well as the entry level qualification and knowledge of common misconceptions.
Through tutoring I have worked with students of all levels, across different qualifications; AQA, Edexcel and IGCSE. I have also worked with primary students (age 11, preparing for SATS) and secondary students outside of exam years.
As a mother of a year 11 boy I was recommended Sara for maths tuition by a friend. At the time my son's's predicted GCSE result was grade 3 or below. He completely lacked confidence and had an acute dislike for maths, with a belief he would never pass the exam. On my suggestion he reluctantly agreed to the support of a tutor in the end he said 'it was the best decision ever'. Sara instilled in my son an enjoyment for the subject, something I never thought I'd see. Her calm and relaxed style of tutoring gave him the understanding and knowledge in the areas he struggled and more importantly gave him confidence and he started to believe in himself. In the end my son achieved a grade 5 GCSE, a result he said 'I would never have achieved without Sara'. I would highly recommend Sara for maths tutoring, she is professional, reliable and a friendly person who went over and above to help my son be the best he could be. I cannot thank or recommend her enough.

I've always been a student that has struggled with Maths and I never felt like I'd received the right help from teachers. Due to this I was getting grade 3's in all my tests and not making any progress. My mum and I decided it would be good to get a Maths tutor and we chose Sara. It was the best decision we ever made, I went from getting a grade 3 in my mock exams to a grade 5 in my GCSE. I couldn't have done it without her, thank you Sara.

My daughter has always struggled with maths, not necessarily because she couldn't do it, but mainly because she lacked the confidence. She has previously attended tutoring for maths and whilst she did improve on some of her skills, she didn't really enjoy going and it became a chore and a struggle to go.
The difference that I have observed since Sara started tutoring my daughter has been unimaginable. Sara's approach to maths is such that my daughter is visibly engaged and this is also reflected in her grades at school. My daughter no longer sees her tutoring as a chore, and in fact recognises that it is giving her the ability and confidence to push on.
I cannot recommend Sara highly enough for any young people who need some extra support with maths, be that of primary or secondary school age. Sara is a ray of sunshine and I am really thankful for her kind, thorough and patient tutorage.
